A Time with N.A.N.C.Y.

A Time with N.A.N.C.Y. is a monthly restorative dialogue space rooted in truth, humanity, and shared growth. Born from a cross-cultural mentor–mentee relationship, this initiative was created to dismantle stereotypes, challenge internalized narratives, and awaken deeper awareness of self-worth and collective humanity.

Each month, participants are invited to listen, learn, and respond through guided reflection and community dialogue. This is not a space for debate or perfection—it is a space for honesty, courage, and care. Through storytelling, critical reflection, and restorative practice, A Time with N.A.N.C.Y. models how difference can become a source of connection rather than division.

This space is for those willing to pause, reflect, and stay in conversation long enough for understanding to grow.

The Awakening: Our Beginning

A Time with N.A.N.C.Y. was born not from comfort, but from courage — the courage to sit in difference and stay long enough to see one another clearly. It began with two people — a mentor and a mentee — separated by race, culture, and class, yet united by a shared calling: to dismantle the barriers that keep humanity fragmented and fearful. Through conversation, they began to challenge internal narratives — the quiet stereotypes, biases, and learned messages that shape how we see ourselves and each other. What emerged was not an answer, but an awakening: an awakening to how deeply we’ve been taught to mistrust difference, and how much healing becomes possible when we unlearn that. This space exists to tell that story — not as a finished product, but as a process of becoming.

A Time with N.A.N.C.Y. is an invitation: to name what’s real, to listen beyond labels, to learn from discomfort, and to yield to love that transforms.

N.A.N.C.Y. — Naming All Narratives, Cultivating Yield

Each edition is an act of truth and tending. It begins with naming — the bravery to speak what’s unspoken. It continues with cultivating — the patience to nurture growth in ourselves and others. And it leads us to yield — not surrender, but the harvest that follows humility.

·       Naming our truths dismantles illusion.

·       All stories matter — not just the loudest.

·       Narratives shape what we believe about worth and belonging.

·       Cultivating compassion grows courage.

·       Yield is the shared fruit of equity, honesty, and grace.

Why We Gather

We gather here to confront the unseen — the unknown of humanity and self-value that lives beneath stereotypes and silence. We gather to replace judgment with curiosity, fear with empathy, and isolation with collective care. This is more than a newsletter — it’s a practice of becoming whole together.

“When we dare to see each other beyond the stories we inherited, we find the freedom to write something new.”
