Outreach 101

Outreach 101 is grounded in the belief that meaningful outreach begins with relationship, respect, and shared humanity. This program moves beyond transactional service by centering trust, dignity, and accountability in every community interaction. Through restorative education, participants learn to approach outreach with cultural humility, trauma awareness, and deep listening—recognizing community members not as recipients of aid, but as partners with lived wisdom and value. By honoring personal narratives, cultural identity, and collective leadership, Outreach 101 fosters connections that strengthen community bonds and restore a sense of belonging. Each engagement becomes an act of mutual respect, reinforcing a restorative culture where care is relational, equity is practiced, and justice is experienced through connection.

History

Outreach 101 represents RJM's commitment to building a restorative culture through connection and understanding. Born from the need to transform service into relationship, it moves beyond transactional charity to rebuild trust and dignity within community spaces. Each act of outreach becomes part of an evolving history where awareness, equity, and shared responsibility define how justice lives in practice.

Community Education

This six-week learning journey transforms observation into action by teaching cultural humility, trauma awareness, and restorative communication. Participants learn that outreach begins with listening and grows through empathy, collaboration, and accountability. Education becomes the catalyst for empowerment-shifting mindsets from helping to healing, from separation to solidarity.

Cultural Traditions

The program honors community wisdom by integrating story circles, reflection, and co- leadership rooted in local culture. It recognizes that healing happens when diverse voices lead together. By uplifting cultural identity and shared humanity, Outreach 101 transforms outreach into a living tradition of respect, renewal, and restorative impact.
